What the archive records
Farooq Tirmizi is a Karachi-raised, US-based finance writer and entrepreneur. He was managing editor of Profit, the business magazine, and now runs Elphinstone, a US-registered investment advisor that lets Pakistanis invest and save in the US markets. He studied international political economy at Georgetown's School of Foreign Service and began his career at an electronic brokerage on Wall Street.
