Dr. Sonia Irum teaches English literature at the International Islamic University in Islamabad and heads the university's alumni department. She completed her bachelor's and master's at the same institution, then went to Royal Holloway, University of London on a higher education scholarship for a PhD in ecocriticism, where she spent five years before returning to Pakistan at the start of COVID.
