Harris Irfan is a London-based Islamic finance practitioner who previously ran Barclays' global Islamic finance business and co-founded Deutsche Bank's Islamic finance team in Dubai. He is the author of Heaven's Bankers and now runs Cordoba Capital, where his subsidiary Cordoba Capital Markets issues profit-participating notes built on the prophetic mudarabah model.
