Syed Umar Ameer is the founder of Dastaan, a Pakistan-based publishing startup, and Mera Kissa, its book publishing platform. An electronics engineer by training, he started building Dastaan during university through Plan9's incubator and has spent the last six years trying to rebuild the country's publishing infrastructure from the ground up.
