What the archive records
Amin Sukhera grew up in a remote village near Bahawalnagar in South Punjab and taught himself mathematics before earning a BSc and then a master's in computer science from Quaid-i-Azam University. He worked with serial entrepreneur Ashar Aziz across three companies — Sun Microsystems Pakistan, Terra Spring (cloud virtualisation), and FireEye (cybersecurity) — rising to VP of Engineering before FireEye's 2013 IPO. He returned to Pakistan in 2016 and became CEO of SkyElectric, a solar energy platform that layers cloud software and cybersecurity onto residential and commercial solar systems.
